Charles Early Scouts

Welcome to the Charles Early Scout Troop!

Scouts aims to build and develop young people’s confidence, sense of adventure and outdoor skills, as well as encouraging them to explore their beliefs and attitudes and be creative. It offers them the independence to put these skills into practice during meetings, events and camps.

Our scouts are encouraged to work together and take the lead on all sorts of adventures and projects, from community based work to planning games and activities for their meetings. They take part in a wide range of traditional Scouting activities, such as camping, hiking, survival, pioneering and cooking, as well as a wider spectrum of adventurous activities.

Most important of all – we have loads of fun! 😀

We usually meet on Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm at the Blake C of E Primary School (Cogges Hill Road, Witney, OX28 3FR) during school terms. Scouts are asked to come in uniform but may also bring suitable clothes to change into for games and activities. We are often outside, so appropriate wet/cold weather clothing is a good idea.
